Walter Clore Private Reserve Red Wine, Columbia Valley, 2005

Columbia Crest. Columbia Crest has named this vintage for Dr. Walter Clore, a pioneer in Washington Viticulture whose lifelong work culminated in the vineyard expansions and incredible quality growth for the Columbia Valley region. The finest hand-picked grapes were used in this blend of classic Bordeaux varietals. Aging for two years in custom French Barrels adds tremendous balance and length of finish. Aging occurs in Le Petit Chai, a cellar honoring the traditional winemaking techniques of Bordeaux used in crafting this wine, 6,500 cases bottled. Ray Einberger, Winemaker. Alc. 14.2% by vol.
